The Paradox of Fame

There is a strange, selective entitlement to being known. We often overlook the downside: high visibility attracts the very energy most people try to avoid. It’s worth questioning why someone would crave a spotlight that offers no financial return but invites constant scrutiny.

Furthermore, when platforms appear to be gatekept for friends and family rather than merit, it calls the motivation of the creators into question. Is the goal to build something meaningful, or simply to protect an inner circle?

Projection vs. Authenticity

Many of the frustrations directed at public figures are likely projections of our own egos. Rather than resenting someone’s success from a place of insecurity, we should examine why we feel entitled to their space.

Ultimately, we have to ask ourselves: are we gatekeeping to protect our own status, or are we actually trying to build a society that promotes genuine value? Success shouldn't be about suppressing others to feed an ego; it should be about the unique, irreplicable work that built the platform in the first place.
